Global Impact Corps Training current and future leaders in global health, the Global Impact Corps is an immersive global health opportunity for students and professionals. Global Impact Fellows support and learn from local doctors as they provide care to patients living in poverty in villages, slums, and refugee camps. Fellows learn from the local medical professionals about social entrepreneurship, patient barriers to care, and about effective strategies to reach the hardest-to-reach patients who are otherwise unable to access or afford care. Volunteer Abroad Healthcare Delivery partners with phenomenal local eye clinics in Ghana, Honduras, and India to provide quality eye care to patients who are otherwise unable to access or afford care. These programs are locally led and managed by the local medical professionals, and our collaboration has provided eye care to 2.9 million people by local doctors during the past decade, including more than 109,000 sight-restoring surgeries by local ophthalmologists. Healthcare Delivery Global Health & Innovation Conference The Global Health & Innovation Conference is the world’s leading and largest global health conference and the largest social entrepreneurship conference, with 2,000 professionals and students from 50 states and 55 countries. This must-attend, thought-leading conference convenes leaders, changemakers, and participants from all sectors of global health, international development, and social entrepreneurship. We dive deep into the complexities, impact, challenges, joys, and lessons learned in global health, innovation, education, and social impact. Join this unique forum where everyone is inspired to dive deep, to have meaningful conversations, and to embrace our collective extraordinary potential for growth and impact. This year’s event includes seven phenomenal plenary panel conversations with 4-6 thought leaders in each. Each session is an in-depth conversation, with no lectures, memorized talks, or PowerPoints. The sessions are not siloed based on discrete topics, but instead the conference is designed as a unique forum and exchange of ideas across disciplines.
